With over 26 years of experience in mental health, education, and public health, Shilpa Toro is a dedicated counsellor, researcher, and public health expert. As the visionary Founder and Director of Being Minds Wellness Hub, she combines scientific knowledge with empathetic care to support individuals across the lifespan.

She holds a Master’s in Public Health (Royal Tropical Institute, Amsterdam) through the Nuffic Fellowship (Netherlands) and has postgraduate qualifications in Child & Family Counselling and Nutrition & Dietetics. She is currently pursuing her PhD, continuing her lifelong journey as a learner and researcher.

Shilpa’s turning point came during a study visit to the World Health Organisation (WHO) in 2003. The global mental health crisis inspired her to champion accessible counselling services for individuals of all ages and genders. This passion became the foundation for her work at Being Minds Wellness Hub.

Her areas of expertise span across the lifecycle—from premarital counselling, reproductive and child counselling, parental and career guidance, to relationship counselling. She also specialises in life skills training, aptitude testing, and emotional healing using Bach Flower Therapy. Her integrated approach allows her to address not just emotional well-being, but also the social and nutritional dimensions of health. She also offers engaging workshops on stress management, mindfulness, gender and sexuality, study skills and emotional intelligence.

In addition to her therapeutic work, Shilpa is a psychological counsellor for schools and NGOs, a Visiting Faculty and Research Supervisor at SNDT University, Pune, and an academic counsellor at Phoenix School for Autism and Learning Disabilities. She holds certifications in REBT (Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy), Marital Counselling, POSH Training, and Psychological First Aid.

Shilpa is known for her collaborative leadership, communication skills, and passionate advocacy for mental health in communities.

Deepanjali V. Vanmane-Patil

M.A. Counselling Psychology | School Counsellor & Remedial Educator

Deepanjali Vanmane-Patil holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and brings over seven years of professional experience in the field of school counselling and remedial education. Her work is rooted in a deep interest in understanding the emotional and behavioural development of children, which began with her early experience supporting children with special needs.

Currently positioned as a School Counsellor at a reputed educational institution, she provides individual and group counselling, facilitates remedial instruction, and addresses students’ academic, social, and emotional challenges. She plays a key role in coordinating with educators, parents, and school leadership to implement comprehensive support strategies tailored to student needs.

Her professional background includes engagements with Prasanna Autism Centre and Bal Shikshan Mandir English-medium school. She has also conducted student development workshops at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan School. Additionally, she is a trained Bach Flower Therapist, integrating alternative therapeutic methods into her practice as appropriate.

Deepanjali’s work reflects a strong commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive educational environments that promote holistic student development.

Aditi Shejul

M.A. Counselling Psychology | School Counsellor

Aditi Shejul is a dedicated Clinical Psychologist and a school counsellor with over four years of experience working with individuals across diverse age groups and backgrounds. She was associated with Shraddha Rehabilitation Centre, Karjat, for one and a half years, where she counselled adults experiencing emotional, behavioural, and psychological challenges, as well as individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia. She has also worked on a project for the mentally ill and destitute.  In addition, she has valuable experience working with school-aged children, supporting their emotional and mental well-being.

She has served as a School Counsellor at a residential military school, where she managed complex and high-stress cases with professionalism and care. Her approach to therapy is rooted in evidence-based practices, including Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and client-centred therapy. These methods allow her to create a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space for clients to explore, heal, and grow.

With a commitment to fostering resilience and self-awareness, she empowers individuals to navigate life’s challenges and achieve greater psychological well-being. Her calm, compassionate presence and structured therapeutic approach make her a trusted support for those seeking clarity and strength in their mental health journey.

Pooja Damle

Counsellor | Health Communication Specialist

Pooja Damle brings a unique blend of experience in counselling and health journalism, with a deep commitment to supporting emotional well-being, especially in children and families.

Her journey began with a strong foundation in Marathi literature, which inspired her to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism. Over the next nine years, she worked extensively in the field of health journalism and advocacy, writing on topics such as mental health, women’s wellness, parenting, and holistic care. This work enriched her understanding of how lifestyle, environment, and emotional patterns influence individual well-being.

Motivated by the real-life stories she encountered and the gaps in emotional support for families, she went on to study a Postgraduate Diploma in Child & Family Counselling. She has since worked as a trainee counsellor in schools, offering one-on-one and group sessions to support students from Grades 1 to 8.

Pooja’s counselling approach is empathetic, child-centred, and non-judgmental, focusing on creating a safe space where children and young people feel seen, heard, and supported. Her dual expertise allows her to combine clear communication, advocacy, and therapeutic sensitivity in every interaction.

Legal Counselling

Adv. Smita Prashant Mane is a compassionate legal counsellor. With over 15 years of experience in legal advocacy and client support, Adv. Mane offers more than just legal representation — she provides empathetic, solution-focused counselling, especially in family, marital, and womens rights matters.

A science graduate turned legal professional, Adv. Mane holds an LL.B. and LL.M. from Pune University. She is a seasoned advocate practising across Civil, Criminal, Family, Consumer, and Revenue courts in Pune. Her expertise includes marriage petitions, property disputes, consumer complaints, and legal aid for women.

What sets her apart is her sensitive and client-centred counselling approach. Through her work with:
